The Quays Cafe & Gift Shop is set in the relaxing atmosphere at the gateway to the broads national park
Very pleasant surprises often pop up in the most unexpected places, and The Quays in Oulton Broad is definitely one such as surprise. Visitors will step into a lovely thatched premises where the fresh water of the broads meets the sea. Visitors will be greeted by several rooms of the prettiest and most beautiful furnishings, gifts, bags, jewellery and clothing in the area. There are wedding and special gifts here that you don’t find anywhere else, as well as a variety of handmade items, leather hand bags, nomadic and cultural clothing, and childrenswear. The Quays also has a coffee bar in the period building with a regularly changing display of local artwork. Quite simply there is no excuse not to stop at The Quays, if you are holidaying in Oulton broad or simply in the area for the day!
Great Place to visit for a snack or some shopping. will come back next time i’m in Oulton Broad.
I visited The Quays on a Sunday begining of December looking for xmas presants with a differance i found just this,A ceramic photo frame ,and a wonderful scarf for my grandaughter, I was searved by a very pleasant dark haired young lady and phoned her later in the afternoon to have another put bye, both purchases were very resonable and i was 100% happy for £25 i had 2 lovely gifts and a very plesant visit. When i returned in the week i am afraid i was not so impressed with the young lady that searved me this time a blond haired young lady, i felt quite inferior and was given a very cold reponse to my answer to “did i know how much they were ” on saying how much i had paid for the first one i was told “Oh no they are more than that”I then explained that is what i had paid Sunday the artical was put in a bag ,i paid ,i felt as if i was being dismissed for bing dishonest i would very much have liked to look further around the shop but of course i did not,I am not going to say i would not go there again as I really loved the stock in the shop ,I will just make sure its on a Sunday in future and if the young lady in question knows what i am talking about please some Customer good will training would be a good idea such a shame if such a lovely shop went down through staff attitude Sorry to moan but i am sure its for your own benifit Regards Gloria Muir
