Tourism is vital to the economy of the many Suffolk towns, both on the coast and further in land, and Oulton Broad are close to claiming awards for their efforts in a number of areas.
The awards from the EDP provide an opportunity to celebrate the success of tourism in Norfolk and Suffolk and recognise those who have achieved the very highest standards in the industry.
Oulton Broad is up for two awards in the following areas:
- The Partridge Barn at Wheatacre Hall, near Oulton Broad is up for the Best Self Catering Establishment Award.
- The Broadland Holiday Village at Oulton Broad is also up for the Customer Care Award
Peter Waters, Editor of the EDP, who is on of the judges for the awards comments,

EDP Tourism in Norfolk Awards 2010 winners also commented,
