Hi all
As a driver and your commentator it is always a pleasure to read such nice comments and great feedback.2012 will hopefully bring with it some big fast boats this year with the 2 big red cats (sl250s/F2s) plus many more
hope to see and meet you all soon …any questions please drop me an email
As a regular visitor in previous years to the Oulton Broad Power Boats i decided to invite some friends along with me, i was disappointed to turn up today (7th May 2012) only for the event to be over by 2:45pm. Does anyone know the reason for this or anyone i can contact to find out?
31/5/12 – Number 26 – big, slow & excessively offensive to the ears.
Please get him to sort out the exhaust before being alowed to race again.
Thankyou
im sorry if i spoilt your night it was the first time out for the boat and it was just for a shake down and to see how to make it go better.I think most people enjoyed it and i do appreciate any comments even the negative ones. Like I say sorry for spoiling your night.
We’ve been attending whilst on our holidays for the past 5 years and thoroughly enjoyed the racing, however this year on bank holiday Monday we were left waiting for 1 1/4 hours for the racing to start (should have started at 12.00pm but actually started at 1.15pm) without explanation or apology. Surely it wouldn’t have been a problem for someone to advise the public the reason for the delay.
should be free to enter a public park notice the entrance fee isn’t advertised and £3.50 = £14 for a family totally out of order seems you get screwed for anything you do on the broads screwed for parking screwed entrance and screwed by the broads authority all right if you don’t mind being screwed but for us just won’t bother going after all best things in life are free or so I am told
My wife and i look forward to the power boat days for the money it is one great day out and for the price where else could you get four hours of great entertainment for such a small cost try going to a two hour football match for that price
We live in Maldon and like wise most of the event held on our park are charged for and sometimes at lot more than the Broads costs
You should not expect an event like this for free it all costs money to put on and a lot of people give their time for fre as well, plus the drivers do not get a fortune for winning. peanuts compared to footballers
Carry on Oulton the faithfulls will always support you many thanks to all and good luck for 2013
Me and my daddy can’t wait much longer for it to start. Oscar 3 years old.
went last week and enjoyed watching all boats ,,it has ben many years since mu hubby and I have watched .we used to go each week when children were all small ..so we will be there to night ,,watching luke ..and all the other drivers ..
shame nothing on the websites about cost to get in
very dissapointed on aug 26th five car loads came to watch racing but were told no entry unless we paid 6pound each as it was a gala day as we were not prepared to have to spend this extra cash we decided to go back to cambridge. Some of these people are disabled and were looking forward to a great day there.there was nothing to say that there was an extra cost.I hope that in future this will happen as we love to come up to see the racing; and hope to come again next year.
I was a member of the wells hydroplane club years ago. I was on the rescue boat. drivers from your club used to race at wells. I am nearly 67 years old and would like to come down sometime this year and meet you all in the clubhouse, is that possible. phone 01328 711755
Could anyone tell me if there is an admission charge to see the powerboat racing.
thansk
Am very disappointed that access to a public park is charged at £3.50, this certainly represents very poor value for what is on offer. It did seem that spectator numbers are down. Lots of room on cat park, pubs empty. If the racing is meant to draw people to Oulton Broad, charging £3.50pp is a sure way to keep them away!
