Nicolas Everitt Park is a beautiful palce, with a host of entertainment and nature opportunities
The Nicolas Everitt Park is situated in the heart of Oulton Broad and offers a place where people can relax, take in the views of the broads, listen to bands, go fishing, watch power boat racing, have a cup of tea, have a go at some watersports or visit a museum. Nicolas Everitt Park is a great place which many locals and tourists enjoy each year with plenty of parking space, although its always best to bike or come by train if you can.

Dear sir/Madam
I have visited your park many times over the years, but during this past couple of years we joined a boat syndicate &very much enjoyed visiting oulton broad each time we came down. I always enjoy the walk in the park watching the wildlife. However I am very disappointed that dogs are allowed in the park with all the squirrels ducks, swans etc. if they must be allowed to enter the park the very least they should be on a short lead ( not the extending ones ). Also I noticed that people are not picking up ther dog poo. During my last visit in june I witnessed a lady pushing a pram letting her dogs of a lead which gave chase to all the sleeping ducks into the pond & chasing all other animals.
It does appear that these dog owners have no respect for the park at all.
I look forward to hearing your comments on this matter.
Yours Faithfully Mick Newman

In response to Mick Newman’s comments, my family are very much looking forward to visiting Nicholas Everitt Park this summer while on holiday. It is one of the few places where ouf dogs are welcome. We always keep them on leads, sometimes extendables, never let them chase wildlife and always pick up after them. Irresponsible dog owners irritate us too, but please don’t tar us all with the same brush. Perhaps education might be the answer rather than just banning dogs from yet another place. Thank you, Amanda Saunders.
