Great place really good for small children. My toddler loves it
hey used to go here as a child gr8 place
10/10
I cannot express how disappointed we were with our visit to the ‘Zoo’ !!!
It was the most depressing, tatty place in need of a complete overhaul. The animal enclosures/cages were basic to say the least and some were placed on the concrete when there was a lovely lawn that they could have been placed on. Few cages were labelled and those that were, had some crudely printed out information that the children couldn’t really see, laminated and stuck on to the fence! My 13 year old walked out as she was upset by the place. The whole experience left a nasty taste and a general feeling of despair on behalf of the animals. An expensive 15 minutes!!!
One of the highlights of our holiday, pets corner is a great place our children loved it, so many animals to see and feed had a great day out. The staff were friendly and were happy to answer any questions we had about he animals. Our five year old loved feeding the goats 🙂 certainly a place that must be visited and the cheap price is a bonus 🙂
Visted Pets Corner, must say that I found it veru disappointing and not worth the money for the entry fee. The general appearance was of being run down and need like the place needed some TLC and a lot more animals.
We love it just as much as our little ones do!! We’ve been visiting Pets Corner for 4 years – and some years we will go twice. The name ‘corner’ obviously suggests it’s small and not zoo-like. The price for a larger young family is brilliant, especially as you get to get in the pens with a few different animals and handle them! At 6, 5, 3 and 1 the children say it’s one of their top favourite places to visit. The bags of feed you get for the goats are large and much cheaper than other animal places. We love when the goats have their young, as they don’t mind their young being picked up and the baby goats are happy to just sit in the arms of my toddlers and older two :). The bouncy castle and picnic tables are lovely too, and once you’re done at pets corner, you can walk to and go for a stroll around the broads, or travel a bit further and go to the beach. The car park is much cheaper than the cities or yarmouth sea front too!
I would like to reply about Lisa’s rather rude comments about this wonderful place. Firstly it is a corner not a zoo. Secondly a lot of the animals cannot have grass in their enclosures due to a) cleanliness and b) the animal’s dietary requirements. Thirdly, surely it is a parent’s responsibility to educate their children about the different animals they are seeing and read out any information they cannot see. Fourthly my children are brought up to appreciate anything they are given and see in life, and fifthly if you and your child went round there in just 15minutes, then animals and educating your child are obviously not important to you, so perhaps you might avoid zoos and any animal-related places in the future…. that being said, you could donate a sizeable amount to pets corner so they can place gold plaques full of titles and information and the general modifications you want them to make.
Such a rude person – and one review I suggest everybody should ignore entirely. Pets Corner is a fantastic place to visit for everybody, especially children both young and teens!
I completely agree with Lisa Goddard, are the rest of you insane or just blind?? This place is a wreck, it is depressing to visit and probably just as depressing for the animals who have to live in such awful conditions. I used to visit as a child and it used to be a lovely little place to visit. Today I took my son hoping for that same experience, I was horrified, it is so run down its unbelievable. I would not recommend this place to anyone. It should be shut down. On doing some research I found this… http://m.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-suffolk-20910877 says it all and nothing has changed.
I have take my children here for over 14 years when they were younger Two to three times a year. it’s wonderful to see all the pets I’ve always loved the experience set in the park there is lots to do around the area. The pets are so cute and to be able to stroke one is such a joy. Any small pet owner knows the hard work and the commitment they require with their special dietary requirements cleaning etc this way you get to see the pets without the long term commitment! The staff do a good job of providing this service to our children and local community making it a more interesting place to visit, keep up the wonderful work thank you. (A mum who is grateful for the 3 hour entertainment break over the years.) I have loved every minute support your local pets corner I do. We still go yearly and they are 17+
It is a lovely small petting zoo in a pretty location. The staff are friendly and enjoy your child asking questions on the animals care. All the animals are well cared for. Very cheap entrance fee per person the same as a cup of coffee. A visit is a must if in the area. Plenty of parking on site. Moore up your boat and walk through the park. Try it soon.
