More than 70 businesses and a whole host of visitors to the Norfolk Broads have joined an inspirational scheme designed to allow visitors and tourists the opportunity to give something back to the Broads.
The Carlton Marshes and Oulton Broad Love the Broads campaign allows visitors to donate to the local environment in a number of ways. They can make a small donation on their boat and cycle hire bookings, meals, coffees or accommodation, as well as being able to buy badges and books, all thanks to participating businesses.
All donations from the Carlton Marshes and Oulton Broad Love the Broads campaign go the Broads Trust, an independent registered charity, which allocates money to local projects. Last year, donations benefited barn owls, cyclists and visitors to Carlton and Oulton Marshes Nature Reserve.
